About us

The Wild Basket project strives to connect our traditional knowledge of our ancestors to the next generation by harvesting from the land and selling locally.

The community

Timiskaming First Nation (TFN) is a community of the Alqonquin Anishnaabeg whose traditional territory is vastly spread across Quebec and Ontario. Home to blues skies, bountiful forests filled with lush vegetation and medicines, TFN is a land steeped in history.

Sustainable Harvesting

Our approach is to meet the present needs of our community, while leaving enough in the forest to meet the needs of the next generations.

Hand-picked products

By using this method, we are able to provide high quality products without compromising the health of surrounding vegetation.

Community-based project

By purchasing our products, you are creating land-based opportunities for Timiskaming First Nation’s community members.
